The Internal Medicine Service specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of serious (and mostly chronic) health problems including:

• Infectious diseases, such as viral,bacterial, fungal, protazoan
• Metabolic diseases, such as pancreatitis
• Endocrine diseases, such as diabetes and Cushing’s disease
• Hematological disease, such as immune mediated hemolytic anemia
• Gastrointestinal disease, such as inflammatory bowel disease
• Liver disease
• Renal disease such as acute or chronic renal failure
• Respiratory disorders, such as bronchitis
• Cancer therapy (chemotherapy and referral for radiation therapy)

This service is supported by in-house diagnostics, such as diagnostic imaging, blood work, and urinalysis.
